….let there be shopping….

This Is Me . For Now.

I’m a frustrated shopaholic, musician,  painful perfectionist, mother of 2  and a farmer’s wife.

I LOVE SLEEP. MY KIDS DON’T. In my single days I used to enjoy sleep marathons lasting entire weekends. Nature is now taking it’s revenge.

I don’t cook.

I adore shoes .

I’m a sucker for free stuff in magazines and travel sized anything.

I don’t sugarcoat things.

I have an overactive “fake” radar.

I think “Cinderella” should have a sequel. Something titled “Cinderella : AFTER THE HONEYMOON AND STEPPING ON LEGO”

More or less where this blog starts.

(ps. I’m a conquerer of Post Natal Depression.   I don’t blog about it much. But know this : DEPRESSION IS A BRAIN DISEASE THAT IS TREATABLE.  And I’ll shout that from the rooftops as often as I can during this lifetime.)

  3. Hi

I’d like to interview you for an article I’m writing on so called “mommy” bloggers – would you be interested? Please send an email to and I’ll revert with questions.

  4. Wow. Your very kind words on my blog thing. Wow. Thank you. Means a lot coming from someone who’s all kinds of talented and real and… pink. Now put me in that great-blogs-you-follow-that-are-awesome list so I don’t have to fill up this thing with more poorly written and punctuated comments.

  5. i love the jist of your blog..a farmers wife!!!…first one i came upon.

  6. oh God! If only my son would let me sleep more…
But ..I cook..I clean…I play… do almost everything around the house.. so no time for sleep.. cause I have also a singer in the house that ‘screams’ the crap out of me:)
    funny facts about you!

  7. Ah yes, Sleep! Something I miss dearly. You would think that we would get the sleepy kids – but NO. Opposites have to attract don’t they!?!

  8. so jealous of you living on a farm, although I am the first to admit that I probably have a glamorous city girls idea of farm life. I do have chickens though and if I can twist The Geek’s arm I would love to have a goat.
I was just wondering this weekend when do we get to sleep again?

    • Hi Sally-Jane! Yes, one does tend to think of farmlife as idyllic. That is until the husband’s prize bull breaks the fence to get to the neighbours’ common old milk cow…..

Give me a MALL! My kingdom for a MALL!!

Thanks for your visit and please come back anytime!

  10. Ah, sleep. I also used to love sleep. Now I just crave and adore it – funny how you always want what you can’t have:-). I used to have so much of it, now I have hardly any at all. And we’ve only got one. Sigh.

  11. I don’t cook either- at least not if I can help it! Where are u based?

  12. Thanks for visiting my blog. Looks like you are going to have your hands full for a while 🙂
    Love your farmhouse!
